Originally a large period farmhouse and outbuildings, The Rivenhall Hotel was considerably extended and converted to a hotel in the late 1960’s.

Since buying the Rivenhall Hotel in 2005, Greenwoods Estates has completed major refurbishments to the Reception, Lounge, Restaurant, Banqueting suites, Fitness Centre and Conference rooms, making The Rivenhall Hotel one of the most exclusive venues in Essex.

Our facilities now include: a modern bar and lounge area; the original oak beamed Wildberry Restaurant; 55 en-suite bedrooms; 7 conference rooms including 2 beautiful banqueting suites and our modern Hi-Life Fitness Centre.

The Rivenhall Hotel is located at the heart of Essex, just off the busy A12 trunk road midway between Chelmsford and Colchester where it bypasses the small town of Witham.

Its strategic location means that the hotel is just a 20 minute drive to the M25 and 25 minutes from Stansted Airport. There are fast and frequent rail services to London’s Liverpool Street Station and the hotel has easy links to the Channel Ports and Haven Ports.
